Individual Residential Services and Supports (IRSS)

This is a Health First Colorado Medicaid benefit for individuals with developmental disabilities on the DD waiver, providing 24-hour residential support and habilitation in community settings. It covers personalized care in the individual home, the caregiver home, agency-owned homes, or host homes, focusing on safety, skill-building, and community inclusion.

Supported Community Connections (SCC)

Supported Community Connections (HCBS-CES) services in Colorado are designed to enhance socialization and community access for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. These services are provided in a wide range of settings, allowing participants to interact and socialize with non-developmental disabled individuals in the community. The services enable access to typical community activities, such as visiting local classes, participating in volunteer roles, and engaging in community events. These experiences help build confidence, independence, and real-world competency. The services are tailored to reflect the preferences, pace, and aspirations of the individuals, ensuring a flexible and person-driven approach to support their goals.
